Roasted Figs with Ginger & Rose'

 I recently saw a recipe for Roasted Strawberries on the Drizzle & Dip blog and I thought to myself, damn but I need to make this! I was then strolling through the OZ Market last Saturday when I discovered the most beautifully ripe figs. I immediately knew what had to be done!


I had also been given a few bottles of the new Four Cousins low calorie wine range called Skinny Wine. I'm not a big fan of Rose' but theirs was pleasantly sweet and enjoyable. I knew this would cook wonderfully with fruit so I decided to add this to the recipe alongside some Hillcrest Berry's preserved ginger.


This dessert topping pairs fantastically with skinny scoop vanilla ice cream, fresh full cream yoghurt and warm oats. If you're feeling a bit naughty then serve this with double cream!





250g figs, stems removed and cut into quarters

1 Tbsp chopped preserved ginger

1/4 cup Rose' Four Cousins Skinny Wine

1 Tbsp balsamic vinegar

3 Tbsp coconut sugar 


1. Combine all of the ingredients in a mixing bowl except for the coconut sugar.

2. Neatly arrange the coated figs onto non stick baking tray and sprinkle with the coconut sugar.

3. Roast for 10 minutes at 200 degrees C.

4. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream, Greek yoghurt or warm oats.
